There is no replacement for sleep!
Sleep is so, so, so important. For overall health and longevity, and also so you can feel good and enjoy life! Sleep quality often worsens with age, and it can be hard to get it back on track. This study https://tinyurl.com/yycvutrx included 160 women, average age 69, and showed that a 12 week resistance training program (including progressive loading, which is essential) resulted in significant improvements in sleep quality, cognitive performance and functional capacity, and lowered the participant's depressive symptoms.
Want to see if resistance training can help you sleep better too? Contact me at rachel@brickhousestrength.com to get started on a program now. You could be sleeping better by the new year!
